Restoration Company - Estimating Kailua Home | Post-Fire Cleanup Fire damage at a home in Kailua

Fires can strike unexpectedly, putting your home and loved ones at risk. When your Kailua home faces a fire, turn to SERVPRO of Kailua, the local fire damage repair experts. Stay informed, act swiftly, and protect your family from harm.

  1. Think about safety first.

The safety of you and your family should be your top priority in the case of a fire. To ensure everyone's safety, follow these instructions:.

  • Everyone Be Aware: Declare "Fire!" to raise the alarm. This will warn the entire household of the threat.
  • Immediately Evacuate: Get out of the building as soon as you can. Do not waste time attempting to collect items or valuables.
  • Keep Low: Stay low to the ground where the air is clearer if there is smoke present.
  • Utilize the Nearest Exit: In the event of a fire, use the stairwells instead of the elevators.

  1. Make a Help Request
  • Call 911 to inform emergency services of the fire after you and your loved ones are secure outdoors. Give them your address and any other relevant details about the circumstance. The local fire department must respond quickly to minimize damage and ensure everyone's safety.
  1. Don't Enter the Building or Home Again
  • You should not enter the building or home again until the fire department gives you the all-clear. Fires can rekindle, and this could jeopardize the building's or home structural stability.
  1. Alert Family Members
  • Tell your loved ones, friends, and neighbors you are safe and let them know any developments on the situation.

    5. Speak with Your Insurance Provider

  • As soon as you can, inform your insurance provider about the fire. They can help you with the claim-filing and damage-estimation processes.
  1. Obtain Expert Restoration Assistance
  • When the fire has been put out and the authorities have given you access, you might want to think about hiring a company like SERVPRO of Kailua to handle the fire damage restoration. Their knowledgeable staff can determine the degree of the damage, put together a thorough restoration plan, and work carefully to restore your home to its pre-fire state.

How Will My Smoke Damage Be Restored in my Kokokahi Home?

9/9/2022 (Permalink)

Smoke fills a room. We use many methods to clean and restore smoke damage in Honolulu County.

Aloha! Our local Kailua team uses several methods to remove smoke damage from structures in Kokokahi. Every fire has a unique signature comprised of the items that burned during the fire. Here are some examples of the kinds of equipment we may use:

Air Scrubber or Filter

Heating, ventilation, air conditioning system (HVAC) air scrubber, or a high-efficiency particulate air filter (HEPA) air purifier can capture larger smoke molecules. There will still be some residual odor from smaller molecules or surface residues.

Ozone Generator

An ozone generator is a fast and highly effective smoke odor restoration method. These machines emit ozone, which follows the same paths through the air as smoke and oxidizes any residual traces in the air or on surfaces.

Thermal Fogging

Thermal fogging is an intensive treatment involving fogging machines. After residents evacuate, smoke cleaning professionals fill a structure with petroleum distillates that neutralize odors and ventilate the area.

Hydroxyl Generator

A hydroxyl generator is a slower and gentler alternative to ozone. These machines rely on ultraviolet light to generate hydroxyl radicals that eliminate smoke odors. It will take about three to five days of continuous operation to achieve the same results as a single ozone treatment.

Vapor Modification

Vapor modification is another odor elimination method that relies on aromatic compounds and a blower or fan to neutralize smoke odor

8/23/2022 (Permalink)

Strings of outdoor party lights light up a backyard. We are trusted leaders in fire damage restoration services in Honolulu County.

Aloha! Do you know that electrical fires are one of the top causes of fires? Our local team in Kailua wants Laie locals to be safe around outdoor electricity and offer these tips for staying safe around electrical equipment and powerlines.

Powerlines

Never touch anyone or anything in contact with a downed wire. Power lines may be live; stay a safe distance away. Report downed wires to authorities right away.

 Equipment Safety

  • Have a qualified electrician do all electrical work
  • To prevent an electric shock, make sure all your outside electrical receptacles are ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) protected
  • Use lighting and power tools that are listed by a qualified test laboratory and make sure they are made for outdoor use
  • Store your electric tools indoors
  • Keep electric tools away from children
  • Check lighting and extension cords for damage before using. Replace damaged cords right away.

Cooking Oil Kitchen Fire in Kahuku?

Flames rise in the air while a person is cooking with oil. We respond to fire damage emergencies 24-hours a day in Honolulu County.

Aloha! Our team in Kailua wants everyone in Kahuku to be safe while cooking with oil. More fires start in the kitchen than in any other room in a home, and cooking fires are one of the leading causes of fire damage in Hawaii. Here are some safety tips for cooking with oil from the National Fire Protection Association:

  • Always stay in the kitchen when frying on the stovetop
  • Keep an eye on what you fry. If you see wisps of smoke or the oil smells, immediately turn off the burner and/or carefully remove the pan from the burner. Smoke is a dangerous sign that the oil is too hot.
  • Heat the oil slowly to the temperature you need for frying or sautéing
  • Add food gently to the pot or pan, so the oil does not splatter
  • Always cook with a lid beside your pan. If you have a fire, slide the lid over the pan and turn off the burner. Do not remove the cover because the fire could start again. Let the pan cool for a long time. Never throw water on the fire
  • Get everyone out of your home if the fire does not go out or you don’t feel comfortable sliding a lid over the pan. Call the fire department from outside.

Aloha! Pets are curious and can start fires! Our team in Kailua offers these tips from the National Fire Protection Association for pet fire safety:

  • Always use a metal or heat-tempered glass screen on a fireplace and keep it in place

Hoarding Fire in Kokokahi Home?

3/8/2022 (Permalink)

A pile of various broken metal items sits outside a home. We restore fire damage 24-hours a day in Honolulu county.

Aloha! Hoarding is a serious condition that creates fire hazards. SERVPRO® of Kailua offers this information for Kokokahi locals about hoarding dangers fromThe National Fire Protection Association:

Hoarding Increases Fire Risks

  • Cooking is unsafe if flammable items are close to the stove or oven
  • Heating units may be too close to things that can burn. They might also be placed on unstable surfaces. If a heater tips over into a pile, it can cause a fire.
  • Electrical wiring may be old or worn from the weight of piles. Pests could chew on wires, and damaged wires can start fires.
  • Open flames from smoking materials or candles in a home with excess clutter are very dangerous
  • Blocked pathways and exits may hinder escape from a fire

Hoarding Impacts First Responders

  • Hoarding puts first responders in harm’s way
  • Firefighters cannot move swiftly through a home filled with clutter
  • Responders can be trapped in a house when exits are blocked. They can be injured by objects falling from piles.
  • The weight of the stored items, especially if water is added to put out a fire, can lead to building collapse
  • Fighting fires is very risky in a hoarding home. It is hard to enter the house to provide medical care, and the clutter impedes the search and rescue of people and pets.

Summer Fire Safety Tips from SERVPRO of Kailua

6/21/2021 (Permalink)

Photo of a menacing flame on a black background Don't let a house fire interrupt your summer plans! Take these tips from SERVPRO of Kailua to have a safe summer.

Summer is a beautiful time in Kailua. The sun is out later, fewer rain clouds can be found and it just feels like life has a new freshness to it. It's hard to stay inside this time of year. The natural beauty lures us outside. Whether it is a graduation party, gender reveal, church function or large family reunions you have this summer, you are likely to find a grill that's barbecuing some steaks, kabobs or veggies to be smoking in the background. The backyard activity is a time-honored tradition but unfortunately comes with an increase in home fires. In fact, springtime sees more house fires than any other time of year. Here are some tips from SERVPRO of Central Honolulu to have a fun and fire-safe summer.

The grill. Grills get the finger pointed at them first for spring home fires, but they’ve earned the stereotype. The combination of high heat and flammable materials, sometimes even an open flame, give fires and easy place to manifest. Make sure your grill is in good working order with no leaks or weaknesses in the structure, keep it away from anything flammable (including decking or siding), and clean it thoroughly when you’re finished. Almost 20% of grill fires are due to poor cleaning.

The fire pit. Backyard conversations around the fire pit are a regular occurrence during these months, but make sure you’re doing it safely. Have a bucket of water within arm’s reach to douse any dancing flames, and use it to slowly and safely put out the fire when you’re done. Embers should be cool to the touch before you go inside. Also, don’t use leaves or pine needles in your fire, because they create lots of tiny embers that can travel easily on the wind. Never leave fires unattended, and never leave children or pets by the fire alone.

Chimneys and dryer vents. It’s rare for homes in our area to have fireplaces, but if you do, take steps to care for it now. Instead of waiting until fall, clean your chimney out now that winter is over, and get rid of soot and ash buildup inside that creates a fire hazard. And clean your dryer’s vent pipe, ensuring no lint has caked inside—that stuff goes up in flames quickly.

Vegetation Maintenance Fire Prevention Tips

SERVPRO® of Kailua has been helping the residents of Kailua with their fire restoration needs for years. Our highly trained technicians have the advanced training, equipment, and experience to mitigate any size fire damage emergency you may have.

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) offers helpful information on preparing your home for wildfires or brush fires. Here are some tips from the NFPA for vegetation management:

Home Ignition Zones

To increase your home’s chance of surviving a wildfire, choose fire-resistant building materials and limit the amount of flammable vegetation in the three home ignition zones. The zones include the Immediate Zone: (zero to five feet around the house), the Intermediate Zone (five to thirty feet), and the Extended Zone (thirty to one hundred feet).

Landscaping and Maintenance

To reduce ember ignitions and fire spread, trim branches that overhang the home, porch, and deck and prune branches of large trees up to six to ten feet (depending on their height) from the ground. Remove plants containing resins, oils, and waxes. Use crushed stone or gravel instead of flammable mulches in the Immediate Zone (zero to five feet around the house). Keep your landscape in good condition.

Ember fire prevention tips for Kailua

Our family loves to sit around the outdoor firepit in the evening. One night a gust of wind came and blew some of the embers up and onto the decking above us, and a fire broke out. It happened so quickly. Although the Kailua fire department responded quickly and extinguished the fire before it could spread to other parts of the house, there was still a lot of fire, smoke, soot, and water damage left from the firefighting efforts.

SERVPRO of Kailua responds to fire damage emergencies 24 hours a day and we clean and restore all kinds of property damage. Research published by the National Fire Protection Association and the Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety reports that deck fires have a better chance of igniting when fuel sources are closer together.  Here are some tips for minimizing fire risk from windblown embers to decks:

  • Do not store items that can ignite underneath of a deck
  • Increase the gap between deck boards from 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch
  • Increase joist spacing from 16 inches to 24 inches
  • Apply a foil-faced self-adhering flashing tape (foil-faced bitumen tape) on the top of each joist

Commercial lighting equipment safety information for Kailua

4/19/2021 (Permalink)

According to the NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), one of the most common causes of commercial fires is electrical and lighting equipment. This type of fire is not easily predicted, as the lighting equipment can look totally fine on the outside in your Kailua area business. SERVPRO of Kailua wants to share the following information about commercial fires and how safety equipment helps to lessen the damage and can assist in preventing any bodily injury:

  • Wet pipe sprinklers installed in the ceilings of commercial buildings are very effective in helping to fight the fire(s)
  • Building sprinklers should be examined and tested every 5 years
  • There should always be a fire extinguisher in reach inside of a commercial building and they must be checked annually to ensure they are in working order
  •  If an office building is on fire, exit the building immediately and do not try to fight the fire yourself
  • If there is a lot of smoke inside the building, cover your mouth and nose and do your best to not inhale any of it

In the unfortunate event that a commercial building does catch fire, rest assured thatSERVPRO of Kailua is prepared to help clean up any fire damage the building/area has sustained.

How Does a Fire Start?

5/7/2019 (Permalink)

Be mindful of heat, fuel, and oxidization.

Handling fire damage at your home can be a devastating task. To minimize the risk of disaster, there are preventative measures that can be taken to keep your household safe. Below is an overview of how fires start to help you better understand how to exercise caution in daily life.

Heat, Fuel, and Oxidization

Known as the fire triangle, heat, fuel, and oxidization are three elements that when combined, make a fire occur. In order to extinguish a fire, one of the elements must be taken away.

Heat

A fire cannot ignite or grow without heat. That’s why when fighting a fire, cooling agents are used, such as water or a chemical fire retardant, to diffuse the fire.

Fuel

In order for a fire to occur, there must also be a fuel source which allows combustion. The most common fuel sources are wood, chemicals, and fabric.

Oxidization

The last element is Oxygen, it is required for a fire to continue burning. That is why dirt and non-flammable blankets can be used to put out fires.

Stages of a Fire

A fire has four main stages:

  1. Ignition – It is when the fire is started. At this point, a fire extinguisher can contain it.
  2. Growth- Growth occurs when fuel is added to the fire.
  3. Fully developed- The fire becomes difficult to control.
  4. Burning out or Smothering- The fire either burns out or is smothered by another source.

What determines how bad the fire is depends on the stage it reaches. The damage is greater on fires that have gone past stage two.

Even when all the precautionary measures are taken, accidents still happen. If you have suffered from fire damage in your home, call our team at SERVPRO (808)235-5015. We specialize in restoration and reconstruction services for fire damage, mold, and storms. Call today for an inspection.

Do’s & Don’ts of Kitchen Fire Safety

5/7/2019 (Permalink)

Make sure you do not leave cooking food unattended.

Approximately 166,000 homes are damaged by cooking fires every year resulting in hundreds of deaths and billions of dollars in damage. While homeowner’s insurance policies may cover fires that originated in the kitchen, there are measures that can be taken to prevent such fires from occurring. Below is a list of do’s and don’ts that will keep you and your family safe.

Have a Fire Extinguisher Nearby

A small fire extinguisher would be sufficient to keep a minor mistake from making major damage. It is a good idea to store one under your sink, and you must have it checked by a professional once a year. Having one could also possibly get you a discount on homeowners’ insurance.

Keep It Clean

Keeping your stove and oven clean is important because burnt food can ignite in high temperatures. Clean your stove, hood, and oven on a regular basis, and clean spills right away.

Do Not Attempt to Suppress a Grease Fire with Water

While throwing water on a fire is second nature, water will make grease fires worse because it will allow the fire to spread. Instead, put a lid on the pan to deprive the fire of oxygen. Other alternatives are to douse the flames with baking soda or use a fire extinguisher.

Do not Leave Cooking Food Unattended

Never leave the stove on when you are not in the room, it is crucial that you take action immediately after a fire breaks out, and you can’t do that if you are not there. If you must step out, have someone watch the food, or turn the burner off.

Even when all the precautionary measures are taken, accidents still happen. If you have suffered from fire damage in your home, call our team at SERVPRO (808)235-5015. We specialize in restoration and reconstruction services for fire damage, mold, and storms. Call today for an inspection!

Is It Safe Be in the Home After a Fire?

5/4/2019 (Permalink)

How does smoke affect the safety of your home?

The good news is the fire is over. But what’s next? You still need to deal with the aftermath, such as smoke damage. Smoke damage can be detrimental to the property, and to the health of individuals and must be addressed promptly. Here is what you need to know to effectively handle the situation.

What Are the Effects of Smoke on the House?

Even if the fire was controlled, smoke damage is still likely to spread to other areas of the home. It can permeate walls and air vents, as well as degrade the quality of air indoors. It can also decolorate walls and ceilings, soot and ash can be scattered on the floor. Smoke also has a strong odor and can linger in curtains, upholstery, and clothes in the house.

How Can Smoke Affect Health?

Inhaling smoke can cause a variety of issues. Breathing complications, skin irritation, and watery eyes are among those issues. The elderly and those with compromised immune systems tend to suffer the most. Since smoke, ashes, and soot contaminate the air inside the house, its side-effects can linger even after all visual damage is resolved.

Why Hire a Professional Restoration Service?

Removing smoke from the home is much more complex than it seems to be, making it a job for professionals. They will evaluate the condition of the affected areas, including areas where soot remains such as furniture and carpets. Their equipment allows them to safely treat, clean, and eliminate odors and restore the home to its previous state. Call (808) 235-5015 to your local restoration company.

Suppressing Regular Fire vs. Grease Fire

5/3/2019 (Permalink)

Make sure that you are always prepared to handle a fire situation in your kitchen the right way.

Fire detection systems are great for identifying fires everywhere. However, in the kitchen, anything can happen. It is important to be able to tell apart regular fires from grease fires because they are controlled differently.

Here are some tips to keep you, and your family safe, and how fire suppression systems can be helpful:

Suppressing a Grease Fire:

Many people are inclined to believe that if there is a fire, you put it out with water; but when it comes to grease fires, water isn’t only ineffective, but it is dangerous since the vapor from water can cause the fire to spread and will actually worsen the situation!

The best way to suppress a grease fire is by using a Class B Dry Chemical Fire Extinguisher. This equipment is the only capable to coat fuel with a layer of chemicals, preventing oxygenation.

Did you know?

Cooking oil reaches its smoking point at 450F, if you don’t act quickly a grease fire may take over your kitchen.

Suppressing a Regular Fire

Paper, rubber, wood, textiles, among others, are combustible materials that are commonly found in households. That means, these materials have an ignition temperature, if they reach such temperature, they can create a huge fire in less than a minute.

In order to prevent the fire from escalating, the best option is to have a foam extinguisher nearby, the foam will smooth the materials and cool them down.

Did you know?

Combustible fire is the most common type of fire. And NFPA stated that U.S. fire departments respond to an average of one home fire every 88 seconds.

Fires are unpredictable, it is a good idea to not only have fire detection systems in place but also fire suppression systems. Our team can meet your needs locally on Oahu! We offer restoration services in your time of need "Like it never even happened." Call us at (808) 235-5015.

Professional Restoration Is Essential After A Kailua Home Fire

Wave Aloha to Fire & Smoke Damage to Your Kailua Home with SERVPRO's Cleanup & Restoration

Trust the SERVPRO Team for Fire & Smoke Damage Cleanup and Restoration

Experiencing a fire in your Kailua home is frightening for you and your family. Once the firefighters complete their work and return your property to your control, it is natural to be confused about the proper steps to take to recover from the disaster. We provide homeowners trustworthy assistance in these situations, with the equipment and experienced crews needed to clean and restore your home post-fire.

Even if the fire damage seems minor, your Kailua home dramatically benefits from a professional assessment. Standard cleaning procedures often make the damage worse. Speed is critical as the residues from the combustion of various household materials start a progressive damage cycle within minutes of their creation and diffusion throughout your home. Our team of fire damage restoration specialists works fast using their extensive training and periodic updates on IICRC protocols.

The industry standards that guide SERVPRO crews ensure cleaning methods chosen and used are appropriate to the fire damage situation in your Hawaiian home. We evaluate the characteristics of the sooty residues and match techniques to what we confront. Loose, ashy remains respond well to HEPA filtered vacuuming and dry sponging. Stickier coatings require a spray and wipe approach, and those that have progressed to hardened, lacquer-like films can need solvents and abrasive cleanings.

Our crew inspects HVAC systems to make sure soot does not continue to circulate, cleaning ducts if indicated. SERVPRO treats the entire dwelling as soot and smoke moves throughout the space, fueled by heat and encouraged, ironically, by open windows and cross ventilation. If we fail to remove all evidence of the fire, structural damage progresses, and your belongings deteriorate. We work to clean, deodorize, and seal all spaces affected by soot and smoke.

SERVPRO experts can remove soot and smoke damage, and odors, from personal and household belongings. We sometimes complete this remediation on-site, including carpeting and furnishings. Other items have better outcomes when cleaned elsewhere. We arrange for dry cleaning and laundering of clothing, linens, and window coverings. A pack-out of affected goods allows our team to concentrate on a range of cleaning and odor eliminating strategies for these articles away from your dwelling, while other crew members complete the restoration and deodorization of your home.

Count on SERVPRO of Kailua North / Laie to meet your needs when fire damages your Hawaiian home or seasonal dwelling. Call us at (808) 235-5015 immediately after you receive the all-clear so we can partner on a plan that restores your property to pre-fire condition.

Defending Your Kailua Home from Fire Damages

11/7/2017 (Permalink)

Enjoy the Beach While SERVPRO Cleans Up Your Kailua Home

Prevention Is a Wise Proactive Effort for Potential Fire Damage to Your Kailua Property

Your home is an essential possession in your life. It is the one place that your family universally treasures, and a place where so many of your favorite memories are made. Unfortunately, structure fires and smaller damaging blazes can upend your cherished homestead very quickly. It is best to keep an active defense against potential fires, and if you do, fire damages to your Kailua home might not end up being so severe.

So, how do you prepare for fire damages to your Kailua home? You start by giving yourself the tools to put out fires as they may occur, long before we here at SERVPRO ever have to get involved. All across the Islands, many homes are ill-prepared for an unexpected fire. There are no precautionary items (fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, or sprinkler systems) in place to help quell a fire just as it begins.

While it is not uncommon for homes to have smoke detectors, you should regularly check these devices to ensure that they are working correctly. Not only is this going to give you an opportunity to escape your home safely should the fire be too much to attempt to snuff out on your own, but it might also give you a quick jump on the problem to put the fire out with an extinguisher.

It should be noted that calling in the fire marshall to assess that the fire is truly out, and your structure is safe for reentry is common sense. Once you have the all clear, give SERVPRO a call and let us help you assess the fire damages. Our team is well versed in fire restoration projects and can give you a step by step plan to repair the damages including eliminating any persistent odors.

While no one wants to have to deal with fire, SERVPRO of Kailua North / Laie can quickly assess the damage and help you to get things back to normal quickly.  (808) 235-5015.

Which Fire Extinguisher Is Best to Prevent Fire Damage in Kaneohe Homes?

9/18/2017 (Permalink)

SERVPRO recommends keeping more than one type of fire extinguisher in your home to stop house fires.

A Look at Fire Extinguishers for Your Home

Keeping a fire extinguisher at home is a sensible precaution for all Kaneohe householders, which might prevent a fire from getting out of control. Fire damage is a risk for any household, and although it is necessary to be very careful with fire, taking precautionary steps such as having an extinguisher in the house can make a difference to how much fire damage occurs in the event of a blaze.

Which fire extinguisher is best to prevent fire damage to your Kaneohe home? SERVPRO understands that the range of fire extinguishers on the market can be confusing. There is no “one size fits all” fire extinguisher – each model is unique to a particular type of fire. Let us take a look at the various fire extinguishers available for your home.

Dry powder is one of the most broad-spectrum extinguisher products, as it can be used on flammable liquid or gas, wood, cloth, and electrical fires. However, dry powder is not suitable for grease fires in the kitchen. Dry powder extinguishers are best for living rooms and dens.

Wet chemical extinguishers are suitable for use on kitchen grease fires, but they are not safe to use on electrical fires, or flammable gas or liquids. Wet chemical extinguishers are useful in the kitchen.

CO2 extinguishers work on flammable liquids or electrical fires, but cannot be used on soft materials such as drapes or sofas, and are also not suitable for fighting cooking fat fires. CO2 extinguishers are handy to have in an office or where there are power tools and flammable liquid, such as in the garage.

Foam extinguishers are suitable for wood, flammable liquids, and spirits, but are not effective against kitchen or electrical blazes. Foam extinguishers are most useful in the garage or workshop.

Fire blankets are useful for extinguishing small fires before they get out of control, and are particularly useful for swift control of a small kitchen fire.

SERVPRO recommends having more than one type of fire extinguisher in the home. It is not possible to stop every home fire. In circumstances where fire damage occurs, our IICRC-certified technicians are on hand to clean up smoke and soot residue, restore your home, and carry out deodorization, so it feels “Like it never even happened.”

What to Do When a Small Appliance Results in Fire Damage to Your Kailua Bathroom

8/21/2017 (Permalink)

Fire Damage to Your Kailua Paradise? Call SERVPRO

SERVPRO Cleanup and Restoration Post Fire & Smoke Events

Localized fires in Kailua can be caused by any sized appliance and can occur in any room in your home. Small appliances that receive daily use easily become fire-starters simply because of the normal wear and tear they suffer.

Residents who go about their daily routines in the morning expect things to be the same when they return home as when they left in the morning, but Kailua fire damage can change that quickly. Heating elements from dryers and other hair appliances are not the sole reasons behind bathroom fires. Any appliance can develop a frayed cord. When they do, these bathroom items can become deadly shock-hazards. Sparking and subsequent ignition of nearby materials when a cord remains plugged in, even with the switch turned to the 'off' position, is another possibility that can leave any family devastated.

Prevention is said to be easier than repairing and restoring fire damage, but even the most diligent people still experience this kind of catastrophe. Knowing that SERVPRO has the technicians with proper training, certification, and experience in all sizes of restoration gives you the reassurance needed when disaster strikes you and your family. When a fire happens in a small room, the blaze might remain there, but this occurs in few cases. In most situations, fire spreads quickly, especially when the home is unoccupied. Regardless of how large, or small, a fire is, smoke spreads into every open area in a home, leaving behind a horrible scent that can last indefinitely.

We are skilled in all phases of fire damage restoration, including extracting all water and other fire extinguishing foams, ensuring the safety of your home's structure. Removal, and restoration of all burnt materials, refinishing and repainting of walls and ceilings, deodorization, and much more come with our services. When we finish, your family can return to a home that looks and feels “Like it never even happened.”

We recognize that your house or bungalow is of vital importance to your family, and we work hard each time to ensure we work both quickly and thoroughly to restore your property to livable standards. Our customer's questions are given timely and correct answers because we know that this is already a stressful time for any family. We want to relieve as much of the stress accompanying the other major inconveniences created by fire damage.

Call us, SERVPRO of Kailua North / Laie, at (808) 235-5015, whenever you have fire damage or any other situation that prevents you from enjoying your home in Kailua, Kaneohe, or Laie.
